Claude Dashboards is a [Claude](https://aiwiki.ai/wiki/claude) feature for building dashboards from connected company data. [Anthropic](https://aiwiki.ai/wiki/anthropic) announced its beta release on October 8, 2026.[1]

## Availability and data sources

Dashboards is available on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. It is a template within [Claude Artifacts](https://aiwiki.ai/wiki/claude_artifacts).[2]

| Data source | Examples |
|---|---|
| Data warehouses | Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake |
| Connected applications | Salesforce opportunities |

These are examples of supported connections, rather than an exhaustive connector list.[2]

## Queries and workflow

Claude writes and executes a SQL query for each chart. The chart exposes its query and last-refresh time. Users can inspect the query to check what a figure counts, then request changes to the calculation.[2]

Users can request a dashboard in a conversation, select Dashboards under Output in the message box, or choose its template in the Artifacts tab. Follow-up requests can add filters or change the time grouping. Dashboards are saved in the Artifacts tab and count toward the plan's existing usage limits.[2]

For further analysis, dashboards can be sent to Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog, or Sigma.[1]

## Connections and permissions

Connectors normally inherit the user's permissions in the source service. A custom connection using a shared credential instead has that credential's access. Enabling a connector for an organization does not by itself grant access to its data. Each member usually authenticates separately; Enterprise-managed authentication is a separate option. Owners can restrict connector actions across the organization, including allowing reads while blocking writes. Those restrictions narrow access rather than granting additional source-system permissions.[4]

On web and desktop, an artifact asks for approval when it first needs connected apps and identifies the apps and tools involved. Users can disable individual tools. Tools requiring approval for every action are unavailable to artifacts.[6]

Enterprise Dashboards is off by default. Owners enable it under Organization settings > Artifacts and can restrict access through custom roles. Artifacts also require Cloud code execution and file creation; an organization-level disabled capability cannot be overridden by a role.[3]

## Sharing and data access

Dashboards begin private. Sharing does not transfer the creator's source-system credentials: each viewer uses their own connections. A viewer without access to a data source sees an error for that part of the artifact instead of the creator's data.[5]

An artifact using connected apps cannot use Anyone with the link. Shared artifacts require a Claude account. Team and Enterprise owners control sharing outside their organization. Stored information is a separate consideration: an artifact using shared storage can expose that stored information to everyone with access.[5]
