Gradient Descent

Stochastic Gradient Descent

This approach reduces the computational complexity of each update step and often leads to faster convergence, as it introduces some randomness into the optimization process, which can help escape local minima.

The update rule for stochastic gradient descent is similar to that of gradient descent, but the gradient is computed using a randomly selected mini-batch of the training data:

Optimization Algorithms
