The interface loads models in .ckpt and .safetensors formats and supports hot-swapping between checkpoints through a dropdown menu in the UI. Background

Stable Diffusion WebUI Forge (commonly called "Forge") is a fork of AUTOMATIC1111's WebUI created by Lvmin Zhang, who uses the GitHub handle "lllyasviel." According to its README, "Stable Diffusion WebUI Forge is a platform on top of Stable Diffusion WebUI (based on Gradio) to make development easier, optimize resource management, speed up inference, and study experimental features."[7] Zhang is also the creator of ControlNet and Fooocus (a simplified Stable Diffusion interface inspired by Midjourney's approach). Key Improvements Over A1111

Forge completely rewrote the resource management backend. All of A1111's VRAM-related command-line flags (--medvram, --lowvram, --medvram-sdxl, --precision full, --no-half, --no-half-vae, and all --attention_* flags) were removed and replaced with an automatic memory management system.
