SKY-001
SKY-001 is Skyfall AI's world model for generating engineering design plans. Introduced on October 19, 2026, it demonstrates computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM). Its outputs combine a component hierarchy with visual construction sequences.[1] Access is offered through a waitlist.[2]
Design workflow
Skyfall describes a hierarchical system rather than a language model generating an entire design as one program. It first produces candidate designs from an image or text prompt, then decomposes a selected design recursively. A construction model predicts intermediate shapes and sketches for individual parts, and the parts are assembled into a whole.[2]
| Stage | Described function |
|---|---|
| Candidate generation | Produce rough 3D alternatives for selection |
| Decomposition | Split assemblies into progressively smaller components |
| Construction | Predict successive 2D sketches and 3D part states |
| Assembly | Combine the generated parts hierarchically |
These stages describe the company's demonstrated workflow, not a guarantee that an arbitrary generated object can be manufactured.[2]
Training and output scope
Skyfall reports more than 200,000 CAD parts for its composer, over 600,000 construction examples, and approximately 35,000 real and synthetic BIM plans.[1]
The launch article distinguishes visual planning from executable engineering output. Editable CAD feature histories and editable BIM elements are described as future work. It also acknowledges that displayed sketches can disagree with the corresponding 3D geometry.[1]
Reported evaluation
The October 19 launch article reports the following construction-model results. CAD uses 1,000 components; BIM uses 1,000 plans. Quality is measured by intersection over union against references.[1][2]
| Task | Model | IoU | Time per case | Cost per case |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CAD | SKY-001 | 79.7% | 3.9 seconds | $0.005 |
| CAD | GPT-6 Astra | 79.1% | 199 seconds | $0.75 |
| BIM | SKY-001 | 43.6% | 1.22 seconds | $0.0024 |
| BIM | GPT-6 Astra | 40.6% | 144.6 seconds | $0.446 |
These are developer-reported benchmark measurements, not an API price list or evidence of physical safety. The product page displays some different comparison figures; the table follows the dated launch article.[1][2]
Research context
Generating CAD operation sequences predates SKY-001. DeepCAD, published at ICCV 2021, used a Transformer to generate sequences of CAD commands and released 178,238 models with construction sequences. This is related work, not a documented component of SKY-001.[3]
Skyfall compares its part granularity with PartVerse.[1] PartVerse accompanies CoPart, an ICCV 2025 project for generating objects through contextual part representations. Its authors describe a dataset derived from Objaverse with automated segmentation and human-verified annotations.[4][5] That comparison should not be read as confirmation that SKY-001 uses CoPart's architecture or that PartVerse supplies all its training data.
