Meta Capri
Meta Capri is a pair of camera-equipped AI glasses with a cat-eye frame, sold in Meta's own-brand Meta Glasses line and made with EssilorLuxottica. It and the round Meta Nova were the two frame shapes added to the line during Meta Connect 2026 on 23 September 2026, joining the Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury and Meta Starfire frames that had been on sale since 23 June [1][2][13]. Fit was Meta's stated reason for the additions: its Connect round-up says the new shapes are meant "to fit even more faces comfortably" [2]. US prices begin at $299 for the standard frame and $399 for a LISA Edition made with the Blackpink singer LISA [1][4][5]. Meta's comparison page describes a "cateye frame for a chic, fashion-forward style with a customizable fit" [6]. Inside, the Capri matches Meta's other own-brand frames: a 12-megapixel camera, open-ear speakers, six microphones, more than eight hours of rated battery life and no display [4][6]. In the US and Canada its Meta AI assistant runs on Muse Spark [13][15].
Announcement and release
Meta Glasses first went on sale on 23 June 2026 from $299, as Meta-branded AI glasses made in partnership with EssilorLuxottica [13][14]. Meta's Connect newsroom post introduced the two new frames in one line: "We're now expanding the collection with two new styles, Capri and Nova" [1]. Meta's Connect round-up listed the pair among the Meta Glasses additions, next to an Ivory version of the Kylie Jenner Starfire, the LISA collaboration, a lower-priced Meta Adventurer and a limited-edition Fury [2]. Neither post gave a release date for the Capri [1][2]. When Meta's US store was checked on 15 October 2026, every standard Capri variant was ready to order, with delivery estimates shown [4].
Event coverage mostly placed the Capri next to the existing frames. Android Central, which tried the new glasses at Connect, wrote that the Capri "looks somewhat similar to the Adventurer style but with a more cat-eye appearance" [7]. In The Next Web's report the new shapes were "Capri, a cat-eye, and Nova, a classic Pantos" [9]. Gizmodo and MIXED each mentioned the two frames only briefly in their Connect coverage [8][11].
Connect also brought a second cat-eye frame, Zena, but it sits in the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) range, which starts at $449, rather than in Meta Glasses [1].
Design
On its store page Meta pitches the Capri's "classic cat-eye frames" as delivering "Old Hollywood glamour," and the FAQ calls the shape "a cat-eye frame shape with an upswept, feminine silhouette" [4]. The store also says the Capri "is crafted to reduce slip and create a more tailored fit to ensure comfortable wear for a variety of face shapes" [4]. It comes in one size, which Meta calls Standard, with a high-bridge fit; the LISA Edition uses a low-bridge fit instead [4][5].
Meta's specification sheet gives the frame a width of 128 mm from hinge to hinge, lenses 49 mm wide and 40 mm tall, a 22 mm bridge and 145 mm temples, with an injected frame and a weight of 56 grams [4]. Like the other Meta Glasses frames it has three-way adjustable nose pads, adjustable temple tips and overextension hinges [6]. Meta's store FAQ says the nose pads offer "15° of adjustment and 3 cranks" [4].
The five standard versions, listed in the pricing table below, pair three frame colors with five lens options, two of them polarized and one a Transitions lens that darkens from clear to grey [4]. Each ships with a foldable charging case that Meta sells in Black, Mocha, Forest, Cream and Driftwood, and the FAQ says buyers can pick the lens color and case color for a personal combination [4]. Meta's Mix & Match program adds the frame to those choices; in the newsroom version of the announcement it covered every Meta Glasses frame, ordered online or in a Meta Lab, while the Connect round-up limited it to the US [1][2].
Hardware
Meta publishes the same camera, audio, battery, storage and connectivity figures for the Capri as for the other frames in the line, and it does not name the processor [4][6].

The prescription range matches the rest of Meta Glasses and is narrower on the plus side than the -12.00 to +6.00 Meta lists for Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) [6]. Meta's FAQ says all Meta Glasses frames are compatible with prescription lenses [4]. Under Rx Lens Swap, which Meta introduced with the line in June 2026, an optician of the owner's choosing can fit prescription lenses after purchase while the warranty stays valid [14]. The US store warranty for the Capri is 12 months from EssilorLuxottica [4].
Meta AI and Muse Spark
The Capri arrived three months after Meta Glasses became Meta's first glasses to launch with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, a model from Meta Superintelligence Labs that Meta announced on 8 April 2026 [13][19]. Meta's release notes for version 26 of its glasses software, which rolled out from the week of 29 June 2026 to Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Meta Glasses, describe Muse Spark as "next-gen Meta AI on your glasses" with "enhanced visual perception" [15]. Meta said in July that the Muse Spark version was available on Meta Glasses in the US and Canada and would reach more markets over time [13].
The assistant answers spoken questions and uses the camera for computer vision queries about what the wearer is looking at [4]. Meta's store page lists answers "based on what you see and say," local recommendations drawn from reviews, hands-free photo capture with dynamic photo (which shoots several frames and suggests the best), voice calls and video calls on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, live location sharing, and song suggestions for the view through "Music match," powered by Spotify [4]. The comparison page adds voice integration with Apple Music, Amazon Music, Audible and Shazam, plus Photo Ultra HDR and autocapture modes [6]. The action button can launch Meta AI or a favorite feature such as the camera [4].
Live translation works in 20 languages on Meta Glasses [14]. Six of them (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and German) can run offline after the wearer downloads a language pack; the other 14, including Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and Hindi, need Wi-Fi or mobile data [16]. Meta's November 2025 behind-the-scenes post about the feature on Ray-Ban Meta said the whole pipeline, from speech recognition through translation to synthesized speech, ran on the glasses [17]. Meta's engineering team gives a general rule for the glasses: requests such as placing a call or answering a text run entirely on the device, while more advanced features need models far larger than the glasses can hold, so Meta plans to run that work on cloud servers under its Private Processing system [20].
Conversation Focus, which amplifies the voices of people the wearer is facing, appears in the v26 release notes, but its own help page says the feature is not available on Meta Glasses, the line the Capri belongs to [15][18].
The LISA Edition adds software extras. Meta's announcement promised "unique digital photocards you unlock with the glasses" [1], which Android Central said appear in the Meta AI app [7], and The Next Web reported a LISA World design in the app and a virtual try-on lens [9].
Announced features
Meta used the same Connect keynote to preview several glasses features, some of them scheduled for later in 2026 or beyond. Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, is due on Meta's AI glasses "in the coming months," although Meta's posts did not say which models would get it; wearers would summon it by speaking its name and could ask it to act on something in view, such as a product on a shelf [2][21]. Meta's examples included booking appointments, checking flight prices, logging meals and buying products the wearer sees, with Muse working in the background and checking back when done [21]. UploadVR reported that the agent runs in a private cloud virtual machine and that Mark Zuckerberg said on stage it would arrive "in the coming weeks" [22].
For hearing enhancement, Meta's round-up describes FDA-cleared software for adults "with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss," arriving in the US later in 2026; owners of "supported AI glasses" can add it for $149.99, and it is included in a Meta One subscription [2]. Meta's posts did not name the supported models, while Engadget reported that the feature would reach Meta Glasses before the third-generation Ray-Ban Meta and Ray-Ban Meta Audio [23]. Meta's glasses post also listed video capture with Dolby Atmos spatial sound, a landscape crop mode, audio balance and mono audio, a customizable touchpad shortcut, and more detailed answers about the wearer's surroundings shaped by feedback from blind and low-vision users [21]. It said Private Processing, Meta's confidential computing system, would come to the glasses, without giving a date [20][21]. As of 15 October 2026 the newest entry on Meta's glasses release notes page was still v26 [15].
LISA Edition
The LISA collection, sold as Meta Glasses by LISA, contains two frames: the Capri version described here and a LISA version of the Meta Adventurer [1][9][10]. In Meta's words the Capri version is "an Eclipse cat-eye frame with grey lenses" [1]. Engadget called it "a darker, cat-eye frame with grey lenses" [10], and Meta's store FAQ describes it as "a bold cat-eye sunglasses frame" [5]. Each LISA frame costs $399 in the US and can be fitted with prescription lenses [1]. Meta's Canadian store lists the Capri version at CA$549, the price MobileSyrup reported at launch [12][26].
Star motifs mark the edition. Meta's store says "custom star accents are etched onto the temple tips," and the included quilted charging case carries a star design [3][5]. Each pair comes with one collectible case charm, sold blind-box style, from a set of six designs based on LISA's pets, which Meta's blog calls her "L-family" [3][5]. The FAQ says the charms are not sold separately and are not covered by Meta's limited warranty [5]. Meta's comparison page lists the case charm and "bespoke packaging with authentication card" among the box contents [6]. Meta lists the LISA Edition's differences from the standard Capri as its color finish, the star temple tips, a low nose bridge fit "for wider facial coverage," the charm and the case [4]. Its dimensions and 56-gram weight match the standard frame [5].
"This collection comes from my personal stories and experiences," LISA said in a video message, according to The Next Web [9]. Gizmodo's photos from the event showed the star accents on the temple tips [8].

Availability
On 15 and 16 October 2026 the Capri could be ordered from Meta's stores in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates [4][25]. Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and the UAE joined the Meta Glasses markets at Connect: Meta's newsroom post dated their launch to 23 September 2026 and named Brazil as the next market, while the Connect round-up grouped the UAE with Brazil as "coming soon" [1][2]. Meta also said that day that Meta Glasses could be ordered with prescription lenses on Meta.com in Canada [3]. In the US, Meta's FAQ points shoppers to Meta Lab stores to try the glasses on before buying [4].
Privacy
The Capri shares the privacy questions raised by Meta's other camera glasses. Meta's launch materials for Meta Glasses describe settings that control what wearers share and "built-in safeguards to respect the privacy of people around you" [13]. Android Central reported that an early July 2026 software update for all Meta glasses permanently disables the camera if the LED is tampered with [24]. The wider arguments over recording in public and the use of captured media for AI training are covered under smart glasses privacy.
